Yoga for Beginners Introduction Course (Helsigin Aikuisopistossa)

In this workshop you will learn yoga postures (asanas) both for relaxing and strengthening the body. You will learn different options of doing yoga, making it suitable for every body type. How does your body feel? What do you need right now – opening up, stretching or building strength? For alignment and safety, based on Iyengar Yoga, we use props (yoga blocks, bricks, belts). The asanas taught in the workshop are basic and useful and you can continue practising them at home after the workshop.

BALANCING YOGA, BEGINNERS LEVEL

As the four seasons bring changes along, our body, mind and soul have different needs – we can adapt to these changes with help of nutrition and yoga.

This Yoga offers especially grounding, warming and relaxing asana. We put emphasis on aligning body and mind with the help of our breath.

LEVEL: Beginners – come as you are, with or without any Yoga experience. Teaching will be in English, but conversation also in Finnish or German if needed.

WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable clothing, an open mind and joyfulness for the asana-practice

“PURNA YOGA” – WHAT IST PURNA YOGA?

The meaning of “Purna” can be described as integral, complete.
Purna Yoga offers more than just fysical asana-poses  – because we are much more than just a body.
In this form of integral Yoga, we work on our physical, mental and spiritual wellness. Alignment and safety in asana are important issues.

BEGINNERS CLASS
We offer yoga classes especially for beginners. How does your body feel? What do you need right now – opening up, stretching or building strenght? For alignment and safety, based on Iyengar Yoga, we use props (yoga blocks, bricks, belts) in “asana”.

SMALL GROUPS
Enjoy yoga classes in small groups (3-10 persons) where good energy, joy and inspiration catch each other.
