Biochemical Cell Salts and Facial Diagnosis

Our body is made of cells, and every cell needs tissue salts for its function.

To work properly, our metabolism needs a balanced state, so called homeostasis. Homeostasis is the state of steady internal, physical, and chemical conditions. This is the condition of optimal functioning for the organism and includes many variables, such as body temperature and fluid balance, being kept within certain pre-set limits (homeostatic range). Other variables include the PH of extracellular fluid, the concentrations of sodium, potassium, and calcium ions, as well as that of the blood sugar level, and these need to be regulated despite changes in the environment, diet, or level of activity.

On tissue- and cell-level, there are basically 12 essential minerals – also called tissue- or cell-salts-, to be found in our body. Proven? Yes – when a dead body is cremated, the remaining ashes contain all 12 minerals. Biochemical cell salts are a combination of alkaline and acidic aggregates. This means, they have a neutral form. They provide the deficient inorganic elements in subdivided form, which ensures assimilation of the cell salts directly in the mouth, over the mucous membrane.

List of the essential 12 biochemical Cell Salts:

  • Nr. 1 Calcium Fluoratum: structural tissues (bone, teeth, nails, hair)
  • Nr. 2 Calcium Phosphoricum: structural tissues, blood circulation
  • Nr. 3 Ferrum Phosphoricum: inflammations, Ferritin, transport of oxigene
  • Nr. 4 Kalium Chloratum: kidneys, mucous membranes, blood purification
  • Nr. 5 Kalium Phosphoricum: brain, nervous system, heart
  • Nr. 6 Kalium Sulphuricum: liver, spleen, intestine brain, nervous system, heart
  • Nr. 7 Magnesium Phosphoricum: heart, lungs, muscles
  • Nr. 8 Natrium Chloratum: kidneys, gastric fluid, fluid balance (inside the cell)
  • Nr. 9 Natrium Phosphoricum: stomach, kidneys, fat metabolism
  • Nr. 10 Natrium Sulphuricum: liver, gallbladder, fluid balance (outside the cell)
  • Nr. 11 Silicea: all internal organs, connective tissue, structures
  • Nr. 12 Calcium Sulphuricum: ovaries, spleen, liver, mucous membranes

Cell salts are not homeopathy, because cell salts are not exponentiated in the same way as homeopathic remedies. They are grounded and crushed (6 or 12 times) for achieving the very small contexture to be absorbed through mucous membrane and penetrate through the cell wall.

Facial diagnosis diagnostics / analysis (Antlitzanalyse, Dr. Heinrich Schüssler)

An imbalance of essential cell salts in the human body reveals usually slowly and there may be no symptoms for a long time. The first symptoms are usually susceptibility to illness, inflammation, later pain, and dysfunction. Dr. Heinrich Schüssler, a German physician and homeopath, is the ancestor of Cell Salts (Schüssler Salze). In 1878 he founded the concept of Biochemical Cell Salt Therapy, as well as Antlitzanalyse (Facial Diagnosis). Dr. Kurt Hickethier got involved to this form of therapy due to his disease (Morbus Bechterev) and refined this form of therapy later.

Facial diagnosis helps to analyse cell salt deficiencies, which appear as different colours (reddish, yellow, green, milky), shadows, wrinkles, dark spots, glossy or dry skin. A facial diagnosis therapist is trained and prepared to do this analysis and give proper recommendations for cell salt therapy.

Mineral deficiency

Let us take an example: A strong iron deficiency at cellular level, can be observed as deep furrows and dark shadows under the eye, although status of haemoglobin shows a good level. Haemoglobin is measured from the extracellular fluid, that is blood. What is seen in the Antlitz analysis about intracellular mineral deficiencies, cannot be measured by other methods. Outside the cell, the haemoglobin value in the blood may be good, but storage iron ferritin value is poor. With the help of Iron Phosphate No. 3 (Ferrum Phosphoricum), the cells are provided with an impulse, a sort of reminder plus a small amount of physical mineral, which leads to an opening of the cell-receptors. Correction of cell dysfunction and/or metabolic disorder can be initiated – naturally, gently and without unwanted side effects.
